At Smartvisit we take your privacy very seriously. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR, and in accordance with any county-specific regulations applicable to Smartvisit.

In this Privacy Policy, we explain what data we collect from you, why we collect it, how we use it and with whom we might share it. It also explains what rights you as a data subject have and how you can fulfill them.

This Privacy Policy applies to any data processing done by us when using our services, both through our website and through our app.

What personal information do we collect?

 We collect the following type of information:

 Generally, all personal information is collected directly from you, or with your consent, and our policy is to collect only personal information that we need for a particular purpose. We do not collect personal information that we do not need.  You are not obliged to provide us with any personal information but if you do not provide us with certain information, we may not be able to provide our products or services to you.

Smartvisit collects personal information in order to provide our customers with our products or services, and in order to manage our relationship with our customers and with the people we do business with. Smartvisit also records product usage data to keep a record of the visits to attractions.

We will not collect sensitive information about you (such as details of your race, political beliefs, religion, or health) without your consent.

What other information is collected?

Smartvisit automatically collects statistical and other information about all visitors to our website and uses of our app.  Please see Online Privacy below for more information about this.

How is personal information used?

 The personal information collected by Smartvisit is used for our general commercial purposes, including:

 Your personal details obtained from purchasing our products will only be kept for 18 months unless:

Will Personal Information be given to anyone else?

Smartvisit does not sell, rent or trade personal information to or with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.  We may disclose your information when you request, authorize or consent to the disclosure.

Completing Transactions

Personal information may be disclosed to third parties in order to help complete a transaction you have requested.  This may include providing information when products are purchased for or redeemed at a third-party event or attraction, and when your payment is processed by our third-party payment processors, postal mail, email and text message providers.

 Outsourcing

 Personal information collected by Smartvisit may be disclosed to third parties to whom Smartvisit contracts out specialized functions (including mailing houses, printing companies and fraud detection and prevention agencies) or to third-parties it partners or contracts with in creating, operating and selling products, passes, loyalty programs or credit programs. If Smartvisit does disclose personal information to third-party contractors, partners or outsourcing entities under outsourcing or contracting arrangements, Smartvisit takes steps to ensure that those contractors:

 Smartvisit wants you to always be in control of your personal data. To this end, you have certain rights that allow for it. Under certain conditions and depending on your location, you may:

You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications from us by following the instructions included in each communication. Unsubscribing from promotional emails will not stop us from sending emails about your account or your transactions with us. 

When you first visit our website, you will be asked for your consent to place cookies.  You can then choose to delete or block cookies by updating your preferences, or by setting your browser to either reject all cookies or to allow cookies only from selected sites.  If you block cookies performance of the Site may be impaired and certain features may not function at all.  See below for more information on cookies and similar technologies.

Is personal information stored safely?

 Smartvisit takes reasonable physical, administrative and technical steps to ensure the security of personal information held by it from such risks as loss or unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, modification or disclosure. Our IT systems are password protected and comply with our security standards, and if personal information is held on paper files, it is stored in locked cabinets. Smartvisit only permits your details to be accessed by authorized personnel.  We use reasonable measures to protect information being transmitted over the internet.  However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its security.

You also play a role in protecting your information. Do not share your account access information with anyone and advise us as soon as possible if it is lost or stolen. We will recognise any action or transaction taken using your account access information to be authorized by you.

Children’s Privacy

You must be at least 18 years old (or of the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to be eligible to use our services. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any information to us.  Our website and app are not designed nor intended to be attractive to use by children under the age of 13 (“Minors”). We do not knowingly collect information from Minors and encourage parents and legal guardians of Minors to supervise them when using our services or giving them access to our app.

This Privacy Policy outlines Smartvisit’s approach to all personal information we handle, whether collected online or offline. However, particular issues that arise in the online environment are noted below.

Other Important Information

Notice to residents of California

Your California Privacy Rights.  California residents with an established business relationship with us are permitted by California law once a year to request information about the manner in which we shared certain categories of information with others for their marketing purposes during the prior calendar year.  We do not share personal information with others for their direct marketing purposes.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)  Currently Smartvisit is not subject to the CCPA or its amendment, the Privacy Rights Act,  If, in the future, we become subject to this law we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

Notice to residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Utah

Currently, Smartvisit is not subject to the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act or the Utah Consumer Privacy Act.  If, in the future, we become subject to any of these laws we will update our Privacy Policy as appropriate.

Notice to residents of Nevada

We do not transfer personal information for monetary consideration.  If you would like to tell us not to sell your information in the future, please email us at privacy@smartvisit.com with your name, postal address, telephone number and email address with “Nevada do not sell” in the subject line.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy in effect at the time you use our website or app governs how we may use your information. From time to time we may amend this Privacy Policy.  If we modify our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes to the revised Policy and the revised effective date on here.
